Kurumbanai is located on the west coastline of Kanyakumari District in Tamilnadu.

kurumpanai beach starts from Siluvaiya church in the west side to pariakal in the east side.

Kurumpanai beach is also known by the name Pariakal beach.

Kurumpanai beach is located at about 13 kms from Eraniel, 27 kms from Nagercoil, 5 kms from Colachel, 17 kms from Thuckalay, 17 kms from Marthandam, 20 kms from Kuzhithurai, 42 kms from kanyakumari and 62 kms from trivannanthapuram.

The people are predominantly employed in fishing as it is the traditional profession. The current generation has begun to employ scientifically advanced mechanisms for fishing.

Neither Kurumpanai nor the adjoining villages have any industry that can provide employment to the educated youth of the village. Schools primarily remain a source of employment for educated girls.
